  • As many sturdy trash bags or totes as you need, each one tied closed.
  • Everything freshly washed and fully dry, free of pet hair and odors.
  • Fold loosely, don’t stuff. No hangers needed.
  • Double-check nothing personal is in the bag. Once picked up, everything goes into processing.

How My Second Story works

My Second Story picks up your items and handles sorting, listing, selling, shipping, and ongoing inventory management.

Items may be listed individually or bundled, discounted, sold across multiple platforms, donated, recycled, or responsibly redirected depending on resale performance.

Pricing decisions are made by My Second Story using brand, condition, demand, current resale trends, and platform performance. Consignors may not set minimum or reserve prices.

Payouts are based on a 40/60 split of net profit (you receive 40%) after platform fees, shipping costs, taxes, and related selling expenses. Payouts are processed weekly on Fridays for sales that have cleared the 40-day return window.

My Second Story Consignment Agreement Version 1.3 - Effective October 4, 2026

Early withdrawal: if you ask for items back before they are listed, My Second Story may agree as a courtesy for a flat $25 Retrieval Fee, paid before items are returned. Listed items are not withdrawn and stay listed through their selling period. Withdrawing ends your consignment agreement.
